WHAT WE GROW
We grow what we love to eat! Every crop we grow is something that we use ourselves. Some may be less familiar than others, we can vouch for them all being delicious! We work hard to ensure the quality of each crop we offer you, and the best mark of quality is flavor. We use in house taste testing to ensure quality.
If you ever have a question about a veggie please ask us! We are happy share our knowlege.
We grow more than 20 individual vegetable and herb crops, from arugula to winter squash, (we grow more than one variety of most crops, ie: straightneck squash & zucchini are both summer squashes). We grow many varieties so that we can meet individual taste and reacte to seasonal changes.
Below is a short list of the crops that we grow. Of course availability depends on season and weather, and demand. We strive to always meet demand. However, we are a small farm and some weeks we will run out of a product.
10 varieties of lettuce
FOR CHEFS, CATERERS, GROCERS AND RESELLERS
We are willing to meet the high demands of professionals that desire to offer quality local grown produce to their customers. If you want a farm to fork product, please call so we can get you our latest wholesale fresh sheet.
We are happy to work with you to meet your special event produce needs! If you are interested in sourcing from us for an event, we recommend that you get added to our weekly fresh sheet email so you have a sense of what we have available through the seasons.
Please contact us at least 5 days prior to when you need to receive your produce so we can plan to harvest for you (ordering based off the fresh sheet is highly recommended). When you order please be sure to include the date you need delivery by, and your produce needs (ie: 5 pounds beet, 12 heads lettuce). During market season, pickup at our Farmers Market booth on Thursday is preferred (May-October). During the off season (November-April) we can meet you along our normal delivery routes (Tuesday & Friday).
We love to work with chefs who value locally-sourced, high quality ingredients. We custom harvest for you the evening before or day of delivery, wash and chill your produce to ensure best shelf life, and deliver it to your kitchen. We offer a set delivery schedule year-round (Tuesday & Friday), and you are always welcome to pick up your order from us at our Farmers Market booth in Nixa on Thursdays during the market season (May-October).
We enjoy growing new and experimental crops, and love hearing about what you are looking for. There is potential for us to custom grow a particular crop. Please note that custom growing needs must be discussed before the start of the season/no later than February 1, so we can add it to our crop plan and seed orders.
What we have available shifts over the course of the seasons. We are getting better and better at having key crops like salad mix available all year (or as close as we can get!) but we do not have crops available wildly out of season (ex: no tomatoes or basil in the winter). Everything we sell will be extremely fresh and reflect the season we are in.
Between December and March we are solely reliant on what was planted or harvested & stored in the fall to get us through to the first new crops of the spring season.
Please also note that we are a small farm with limited acreage, and sometimes we will simply sell out of a product because demand is higher than we anticipated. We work very hard to communicate clearly about gaps in availability and try to give you warning in case you need to source elsewhere until a product is available again. We plant all season long, so chances are what you want won’t be gone for too long.
We currently only deliver to locations in Springfield, Nixa, Ozark and Highlandville.
